his is Frankie, I shot her on thursday for a modeling agency I work for over here. She is probably the best person I’ve been given to shoot so far, though I must admit she had quite a heavy Agyness Deyn look going for her. She however was a natural and moved so fluidly when it came to posing, it’s really refreshing to get to work with someone like that.
I intend to use her for a project, so I’m planning on getting her into the studio this week so expect to be seeing more of her soon.
It is fairly weird how my ways of working, and thought processes have changed so dramatically this past year. I don’t know if its because i’ve grown up slightly, or because I’ve become disenchanted with how I used to do things. This time last year, if I saw Frankie my first thoughts would have been to use her for a fashion shoot immediately now however I just find myself thinking about how much I’d love to shoot her portrait. I’m not saying I’ve turned from a fashion photographer into a portrait one, because that isn’t the case I just think what I enjoy shooting has changed a lot, and I don’t think its a bad thing. I’m happier with what I’m doing now. Or maybe I’m just fickle and can’t shoot one type of thing for too long, I’m really not sure.
In other news, I’m pretty much finished all of my work for this year of college. I want to shoot a few more things in the studio the next two weeks, but more for myself than anyone else. Then after that it’s done. I have an interview for the third year BA top up tomorrow, I’m quite worried about it to be honest there have been a good deal of people from my class getting rejected, which isn’t terribly fair when you think about it after having done two years of a course being denied entry to the final year to get your degree. So I’m just hoping it goes well, it would be quite a hassle if I didn’t get on.
